Bio

At the tender and inquisitive age of two years old, Cyndi Vellmure’s love affair with makeup began. Though initially a quiet child, the performer and artist inside of her was always present. Trinity Presbyterian Preschool provided her first makeup chair. “Borrowing” makeup from her mother’s purse and bathroom cabinet, she immediately began her career. Applying makeup on her classmates and herself, she became the key makeup artist for plays and such put on in the schoolyard, in classrooms, and of course, in her own mirror.
As Cyndi got older, she used makeup as a tool to bond with her mother, friends, and fellow artists. She found that makeup was a constant outlet for creative expression, as well as a way to make others feel good.
In constant pursuit of her creative endeavors, Cyndi made many friends in the entertainment industry. Along the way, she found that there was always a need present for good makeup. She began doing makeup for plays, musicals, headshots, and dancers such as The Villainettes of the Matt Young Band and The Muse Project (an LA based cabaret show).
Eventually Cyndi was inspired to take her makeup career to the next level by a phone conversation with a fellow makeup artist. She quickly enrolled in MKC Beauty Academy, located in Los Angeles, CA. There she studied under international, celebrity makeup artist Margaret Kimura and other hard working artists in the industry such as Jeff Siegel and Angel Jagger. She also was given the opportunity to work with renowned photographers Patricia De La Rosa and Omar Guerra.
Cyndi Vellmure continues to use her creative talents and makeup artistry to enhance the beauty of the world around her. She works in all mediums of the entertainment industry including film, tv, fashion, and print photography.
